About Foil Games
Foil Games started the way most wargames do — around a table, with a prototype held together by rubber bands and an argument about whether the wind rules made sense. We're a small team of designers, playtesters, and hobbyists who care about getting the details right before a game ever reaches a store shelf. Every card, every rule, gets fought over in real games with real opponents first. We pack and ship every order ourselves, in small batches, so quality doesn't slip as we grow.

02 - OUR FIRST TITLE
Sails at War
Sails at War is a fast, card-driven game of ship-to-ship combat in the age of sail. No miniatures, no measuring — just a deck, a table, and a fleet you're willing to risk. It's built to teach in one hand and reward mastery over a hundred more: frigates, ships of the line, and privateers each play by their own rules, and no two engagements unfold the same way.

FROM THE TABLE
Our first copy of Sails at War didn't sell from a booth — it sold mid-game, at one of the hobby's biggest gatherings, to someone who's spent a career designing them himself.** Tom Meier (left), Foil Games founder, with Gregory M. Smith — noted wargame designer and our first customer, World Boardgaming Championships
04 IN DEVELOPMENT
Next Up....
Sails at War isn't the only fleet in our yard. We've got four other titles in various stages of development — this is the one furthest along right now.Department Meeting: The Fight to Stay Awake is a playtest-stage card game about surviving the modern office meeting — playing coffee, dodging sleepy cards, and finding an excuse for a potty break before you doze off in front of everyone. We're not saying which of our four in-development games will cross the finish line first — but this one's earning its seat at the table.
